I have created a new page about the particle computer and a threads implementation i made. For the moment the threads implementation isn’t public but you can email me for details about it. If you have worked with particles you can leave a comment and share your experiences.

My main interest right now, apart from being the leader of the frappe cult, are wireless sensor networks. Quoting from the wikipedia entry (yes, i love wikipedia): “A wireless sensor network (WSN) is a network made of many small sensor nodes (or motes) and one or more base stations (also called sinks), which centralises the data gathered by sensor nodes.” My msc thesis is about sensors and especially TinyOS and the Smart-Its platform. After working for some time i learned two things:
1) Sensor networks are great! Especially from a programmer’s point of view there are a lot of stuff that need to be done. You are working at very low level so assembly programmers will love it! I’m not sure about C# and .NET programmers, though
2) Murphy’s law is true… Anything that can go wrong will go wrong… And by saying everything i mean EVERYTHING.
I suggest everyone who likes some low level programming and os research to check out both links above(tinyos and smartits). You never know, you may find a subject for your thesis, too!
